The Situation
A consulting agency came to me with a problem: their biggest decisions were getting no real pushback. Like most businesses, they were already using AI to think things through, but it was not helping the way they hoped:
- AI chat tools tend to agree with you, and research shows people actually prefer the answers that flatter them
- One chatbot gives you one point of view, however many times you ask
- A real advisory board of experts is expensive and hard to get in one room
They did not need another assistant that says "great idea". They needed a room full of experts who would tell them what they were missing.
What I Built
I built them a private boardroom of AI advisors. The team sets the agenda and invites the experts. The experts debate it properly, and the team gets a clear recommendation back, including where the experts still disagree.
The Board
A panel of expert advisors across business and AI, each with its own specialism, point of view and even its own speaking voice. Every expert is built from a deep study of real-world expertise, and has to pass tests proving it thinks and argues true to that expertise before it is allowed to join the board.
Independent First Opinions
Every expert gives their opening view before seeing anyone else's, just like a well-run meeting. No one gets swayed by whoever spoke first, so the team hears genuinely different takes.
The Silent Director
A moderator the team never sees decides who speaks next, and steers the room towards useful disagreement rather than polite nodding. If everyone agrees too quickly, it raises the alarm and makes the board stress-test the idea before moving on.
Calling the Question
When the team is ready, they call the question. Every expert commits to a final position in private, including what would change their mind, and they are all revealed together. Then a neutral voice writes up the recommendation, and if the room is split, it says so.
People in Control
The board advises, and the team decides. The system can never close a meeting or make the decision itself. That is always a person's call, and it is recorded alongside the reasoning that led to it.
The Infrastructure
Meetings run quietly in the background, and if anything interrupts one halfway through, it picks up exactly where it left off with nothing lost. The team can follow along on screen or listen, each expert speaking in their own voice, and join in by talking. The cost of every AI call is tracked, so there are no surprise bills. And adding a new expert follows the same build-and-test process, so the board can grow as the agency does.

What Comes Next
The board grows with the agency. New experts can be added whenever they need a perspective the room is missing. The same approach works for any team that makes big calls: instead of one AI that agrees with you, a room of experts that makes you think harder before you commit.
